The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in 2001. The Department offers an undergraduate program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an intake of 60 students. The Department has had permanent affiliation with Anna University, Chennai, from the academic year 2015–2016.
The department has well-experienced professors, and it has excellent infrastructural facilities. The department has recognized the Research Center of Anna University. There are about 18 faculty members in the department. Among them, 3 are Ph.D. holders, and 4 of them are pursuing Ph.D.
The department conducts various education and skill-up programs periodically to enhance the technical knowledge of students and make them industry-ready. The main objective of the department is to create employable and entrepreneurial engineers with academic excellence, a positive attitude, interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities that are useful to the profession, society, and nation.
